Knoxville teen charged with murder to be tried as adult

Knoxville (WVLT) -- The 15-year-old charged with murder in the death of her father and stepmother will be tried as an adult.

Juvenile Court Judge Tim Irwin made the decision to transfer Amanda McGhee to adult court after a two day transfer hearing.

McGhee faces two counts of first degree murder in the June shootings of Terrence and Alisa McGhee.

The teen's 21-year-old boyfriend, Andrew Mann, is also charged with both murders.

McGhee, who is pregnant, is currently being held in juvenile detention while awaiting trial in adult court.
