MADISONVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- A Monroe County man was arrested Thursday and charged with fleeing from police and manufacturing methamphetamine.
On Monday, Monroe narcotics officers tried to stop a vehicle driven by Kit Mitchell near Sweetwater, but Mithcell fled on foot, according to police.
Upon searching the vehicle components used to manufacture methamphetamine and an amount of finished methamphetamine were located inside the vehicle, deputies say.
Officers found Mitchell hiding under blankets in a back bedroom of a home in Sweetwater today. He was taken into custody without incident.
Mitchell is being held at the Monroe County Sheriff's Office without bond at this time.
This is Mitchell's third Methamphetamine related charge in the past year.
