SEVIERVILLE (WVLT) – Sevierville police say a coroners report confirms that a Kodak man was likely murdered early Thursday morning.

Investigators say they were a mobile home on Cedar Hills Drive in Sevierville just before 1:00 AM.

On scene they discovered Robert E. Overton, 30 who had suffered a “significant head injury” near a side window of the mobile home.

The preliminary report by the Knoxville Regional Forensics Center indicates Overton died on Thursday as a result of massive brain trauma due to two gunshot wounds.

Detectives are still searching for Jorge Gabriel Martinez, 28 as a person of interest in the death.

Martinez is described as a Latino male with black hair and clean shaven face, standing no taller than 5 feet 5 inches.

SPD considered Martinez dangerous, and has cautioned the public not to attempt to contact him.

If you know of his whereabouts, or information about the shooting, please contact SPD Lt. Detective Sam Hinson at 865-453-5506.
