MORRISTOWN, Tenn (WVLT) -- A Hamblen County Mother is one of two people charged after cops bust a meth lab and find the woman's 8 year old child inside.
Timothy Carpenter, 36, and Debbie Buttry were arrested after deputies on routine patrol smelled an odor coming from their mobile home on Springvale rRad in Hamblen County.
Inside, officers say they found the working meth lab.
They say they seized 2 pounds of marijuana and a small quantity of meth.
The child was treated at a local hospital and turned over to Children's Services.
Carpenter and Buttry are charged with felony possession and child neglect and endangerment.
