Very few clues in Memphis massacre

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Residents are praying and officers are going door to door looking for tips that could lead to a suspect or a motive in one of Memphis' biggest murder investigations in decades.

Memphis police concede they have virtually no information as they investigate the slayings of two men, two women and two boys shot and stabbed.

The six bodies and three wounded children were found Monday in a small brick home on a dead-end street in a poor neighborhood east of downtown.

The three surviving children are still recovering at a hospital.

Police say the attacker or attackers were not among the dead, meaning the suspected killer remains loose.
