East Tennessee woman attempts to bite cop

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say the girlfriend of a Kingsport man charged with attempted murder has been arrested after trying to bite a policeman.

Authorities were investigating a stabbing incident in the parking lot of Hog Wild Saloon when they say 35-year-old Jeanene Denise Fleenor started yelling at officer Bryan Carter about her boyfriend and tried to bite him.

Fleenor was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Police say her boyfriend, Donnie, and his his brother, Jeremy, were arrested Sunday morning and charged with attempted murder after attacking a man with a knife and golf club.

The man was treated and released from the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for lacerations to his face and jaw.

The brothers posted $50,000 and are scheduled to be in court April 10.
