Knox County man arrested in drive-by shooting

Knox County (WVLT) - A man wanted for attempted first degree murder after a drive by shooting is behind bars this morning.

Knox County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman, Martha Dooley, says 26-year-old Jimmy Houston Beaver was arrested around 7:00 Tuesday night after a tip lead them to an abandoned house on Deaderick Road in Southeast Knox County.

Investigators say Beaver shot 24-year-old Vincent Willis three times on Drive "E" in the Vestal community.

Beaver is being held in the Knox County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
