Board members hope these three days help bring that into focus.

The three include Bob Thomas, who's the current Knox County assistant superintendent.
The only local finalist met with local leaders and school staff today, before one-on-ones with school board members behind closed doors.
Over the next couple of days, the other finalists will do the same.

All three will also meet with the public this week.
How they respond is very important to the people doing the hiring."
Indya Kincannon says, "one of the chief roles that the superintendent has is to engage the community and our public schools, that they know what's going on, that they listen to the public and we want a superintendent who's really skilled in that area too."
Thomas is already talking about the importance of the community.
Bob Thomas says, "it seems there's a lot of people who are ready at this point to help us, to help the school system with our mission to increase student achievement."
