KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- Legendary gospel group, the Gaither Vocal Band, took to the stage of the Tennessee Theater Thursday night.
But it wasn't just to inspire their fans. The group was performing as part of a benefit for Alzheimer's Tennessee.
More than 1,600 tickets were sold, all proceeds going to help the organization. Even local businesses helped out with the event, which drew those very devoted to God and the Gaither's music.
One of those loyal fans, 95-year-old Grace Marsh was taken to the show by her daughter Margret. The pair got VIP tickets and Grace got a chance after the show to meet the band.
She's also dealing with dementia and is one of those helped by the money raised.
