KNOX COUNTY (WVLT) There are several items on the Knox County commission agenda that could cause controversy tonight.
Volunteer TV's Lauren Davis has the latest.
Tonight, district five commissioner Richard Briggs will be asking to create a charter review committee.
That's because there are several proposed amendments to the Knox County charter up for discussion.
One is to provide for the election of the Knox County superintendent of schools, another amendment is that all tax increases be approved by referendum and one more amendment up for discussion is to designate the number of qualified voters required to sign petitions for charter amendments.
Commissioner Briggs hopes to discuss these amendments in a separate charter review committee.
We'll be in the meeting and bring you the latest at 11:00.
