KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- A Knoxville Fire Department boat has recovered a body found floating in Fort Loudoun Lake near downtown Knoxville Tuesday morning, according to Knoxville Police.
A boater called E-911 dispatchers to report finding the body around 11:40 a.m. Tuesday.
The body was floating in the waters of the lake between a railroad bridge and Henley Street Bridge, near Calhouns.
KPD spokesperson Darrell DeBusk says the body is that of a man, but no other information is available. He says police will now check missing persons reports to see if any match the same description as that of the body.
