MARYVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- After being deflated several times, the Blount County wheel tax could be showing signs of inflation.
Pitching the idea during budget talks, Mayor Jerry Cunningham says the money would go specifically to improving county roads. He says a $10 wheel tax would bring in just over a million dollars, which would be used to get federal grant money.
Cunningham says the proposal should have an end date and should be approved to not go over ten dollars.
