UPDATE: Blount Co. fire that killed woman ruled accidental

Rockford (WVLT) - Fire investigators say a house fire that claimed the life of a woman in Blount County was an accident.

Freda Carol McGaha, 46, of Rockford died at the hospital after being pulled from the blaze around 3:15 yesterday afternoon on Tammy Circle.

Firefighters say an extremem amount of piled up debris, boxes, and clothing made it tough to get to her.

Inspectors believe the fire ignited in the bathroom, but have not said how it started.

It is the first fire fatality in Blount County this year.
