KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It looks like Thursday is shaping up to be a nice spring day, but Friday could bring storms, and we could see frost in the area by the first of next week.
Highs in East Tennessee are expected to be in the 70s, but states southwest of Tennessee may see some tornadoes developing today. Strong storms are expected around East Tennessee Friday, and there's a chance some of them could bring damaging winds and hail.
Thursday may be sunny in the 70s, but there's a threat of frost as we move into Monday and Tuesday of next week.
This could damage some of the tender plants just beginning to grow in the spring warmth. Dogwood blooms are just coming out and frost could be a problem.
