Knox County drive-by suspect indicted on attempted murder charges

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man charged in a drive-by shooting in Southeast Knox County was arraigned today on attempted first-degree murder charges.

26-year-old Jimmy Houston Beaver was arrested on March 12, after a tip led sheriff's deputies to an abandoned house on Deaderick Road.

Investigators say Beaver shot 24-year-old Vincent Willis three times on Drive E in the Vestal Community.

Beaver is also charged with aggravated assault.
