E. Tennessee woman to repay nearly $50K in TennCare, food stamp fraud settlement

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Blount Co. woman has been ordered to repay the state $48,530.19 for accepting TennCare and food stamp benefits she isn't eligible for.

Angela L. Teffeteller, 36, of Maryville was charged with nine counts of food stamp fraud, six counts of TennCare fraud, and one count of theft of services. She pleaded guilty to all of them, according to a Department of Finance and Administration press release.

Teffeteller got three years probation and judicial diversion.
