KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A trial date has been set for a former Halls High School teacher charged with sexual battery and statutory rape by an authority figure.

He was arrested in April, after a student claimed he sexually assaulted her back in 2007.

Dehart is currently out of jail on a $50,000 bond.

His trial is set to begin Nov. 17.
