SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The City of Sevierville has decided to go forward with a plan that will allow customers to pay utility bills online.

On Monday, City Board of Mayor and Alderman voted to pass the proposed online utility bill payment. The board agreed to have the plan implemented within 60 days.

According to Bob Stahlke, Public Information Officer for the City of Sevierville, the board plans to implement and then review how the process is going after 6 months of use.

"They may pay as they have in the past," said Stahlke. "We hope customers will consider this as a convenient option; many people now pay bills online so we want to make this option available."

The board agreed to have the plan implemented within 60 days.
