KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A man was shot in the face with a shotgun in South Knox County Sunday night after a confrontation on Mutton Hollow Road.
Knox County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Martha Dooley says Jim Carey was helping his brother with car problems at 3806 Mutton Hollow Road with they "encountered two men they apparently knew."
Dooley says an argument started just before 11 p.m., and one of the men drove a car into Carey's car and also into Carey's brother's car.
A second suspect shot Carey in the face with a shotgun, Dooley says.
Carey was taken to UT Medical Center with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Dooley says a suspect has been identified, but no charges have been filed in the case.
