PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Two men are behind bars and facing charges following a routine police knock-and-talk in Pigeon Forge.
Investigators say two officers approached two Hispanic men. Both were armed and one of the men attempted to shoot an officer, police say.
Heliodor Badillo Lopez is charged with drug possession for resale and possession of a weapon in commission of a felony, and Martin Badillo Lopez is also facing drug possession charges for resale as well as aggravated assault.
Officers also seized money, about a pound-and-a-half of marijuana, one ounce of cocaine packed for resale, two long guns, and one semi-automatic handgun.
