Bond reduced for woman suspected of running away with accused conman

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- An East Tennessee woman facing charges after police say she ran away with an alleged conman made an appearance in a Monroe County courtroom Monday morning.

A judge reduced Donna Poe Johnson's bond to $8,000.

Investigators say they found Johnson with 34-year-old Todd Joseph Sweet in Arizona back in April.

Johnson is facing a charge of theft over $10,000.

Sweet is accused of conning several people in the Sweetwater area, after he escaped from a Michigan prison last year.

Johnson is expected back in court August 25th.
