5 injured in Jefferson County crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Five people were taken to the hospital after a wreck in Jefferson County Saturday morning.

Officials say a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed with a white sedan at Valley Home Road and South White Pine Road.

When they arrived, crews found the Jeep on its top with one person inside.

Four others were trapped inside the sedan. The top of the car had to be cut off to rescue them.

Several ambulances took three victims to U.T. Medical Center by ambulance and the other two victims were taken by LifeStar.

None of the victims' names or conditions have been released.
