KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Hundreds of people took to the stage Saturday for the 2014 Knox Classic.
Fitness buffs and health enthusiasts competed in categories including bodybuilding, figure, bikini, and physique.
There were new competitors and some who have been competing for years.
No matter the experience level, they all say it takes a lot of self motivation.
"There's a lot of late nights or early mornings depending on when you work out and when you like to work out. I eat between six and eight times a day, every 2 to 3 hours, so it takes a lot of dedication and hard work and will power,” says competitor Stacey McCloud.
Prejudging took place Saturday morning and the competition begins at 6 p.m. at the University of Tennessee Cox Auditorium.
