Police identify man arrested in Cumberland Strip shooting

Knoxville police continued to look for one man who fled the scene of a shooting early Saturday morning in a parking lot on Cumberland Avenue.

Underwood Miles Charged in Sept. 7 Cumberland Strip shooting

KNOXVILLE, TENN (WVLT)- Knoxville police continued to look for one man who fled the scene of a shooting early Saturday morning in a parking lot on Cumberland Avenue.

Police have in custody 39 year old Underwood Miles who lives at 4102 Valley View Road in Knoxville. He is charged with reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a weapon and is being held on a total bond of $22,500.

Police say G’Juan Williams was shot and wounded.

The police report says a walking patrol assigned to Cumberland Avenue heard gunshots coming from a parking lot behind 1937 Cumberland Avenue about 2:50 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived at least one person fled on foot and Miles was held by officers.
