KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Knoxville Police arrested a Fulton High School teaching assistant for reportedly assaulting a student.
Knox County School officials say a school security guard arrested Gary Hamilton, a In-School-Suspension teaching assistant, after an altercation.
A KPD report says a student left a classroom without taking a hall pass. The report goes on to say that Hamilton confronted the student, pushed him against a wall and punched him.
When the security officer came, the officer saw Hamilton punch the student again.
Hamilton is facing assault charges and is suspended with pay until a full investigation is complete.
