KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A former Knox Co. employee who was arrested after reportedly masturbating while driving pleaded guilty to indecent exposure charges Tuesday morning. Shelley Trigg Hedgpeth was sentenced to six months time served and ordered to pay court costs.
Back in August police arrested Hedgepeth after receiving a call about a man driving up next to cars and visibly masturbating on I-40W.
Police said a binocular, napkins and lotion were found inside his car near the driver's seat when he was pulled over by an officer.
Hedgepeth was an instructional assistant at Farragut Intermediate School. He worked for Knox County Schools for 15 years, according to school officials.
A police report shows Hedgepeth was arrested for indecent exposure in 2007 and 1993, but both cases were dismissed.
