KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A plane that left Columbia, South Carolina headed for Chicago made an emergency landing in Knoxville Tuesday night
The crew on board United Express Flight 4293 reported smoke in the flight deck and diverted to McGhee Tyson airport.
Emergency crews were on standby at the airport.
The plane made a safe emergency landing and all 28 passengers on board were assigned another flight.
