Medicaid cuts cost Tennessee DCS

Medicaid cuts are costing Tennessee 160 probation officers for kids.

Rule changes are taking $73 million out of the budget for childrens services.

Medicaid and Medicare have quit paying states to provide targeted case management, or coordinated care for children.

DCS is making up some of that by cutting $12 million it had been giving to courts, community programs, and schools.
