KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department's Repeat Offender Squad has arrested five people after executing a search warrant at a North Knoxville home.
The Knoxville Police Department received multiple complaints that drugs were being sold at 123 E. Springdale Ave.
When officers arrived, two men took off and while running threw down backpacks that contained marijuana and a loaded handgun.
Witnesses say one of those men jumped into the back of car which they later found at Tennova Hospital, formerly St. Mary's
Hospital. Three people from that car were eventually found.
Inside the home, officers found marijuana, multiple boxes of ammunition, counterfeit money, a flatscreen TV possibly taken in a
recent home burglary, and other electronics.
Police say the two men who ran from officers are 18-year old Kameron Mills and 20-year old Demetrius Thomas.
The three people arrested from the car abandoned at Tennova were: 24-year old Christyna Golden, 26-year old Stephanie Holmes,
and 36-year old Lawrence Huling.
All five face various charges.
