BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Blount County Deputies arrested a 38-year-old Alcoa man and charged him with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
John Daniel Lynn was booked in the Blount County Detention Facility on bonds totaling $75,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. October 18Th.
Lynn is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor for possession of child pornography, and one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor for distribution of child pornography.
Monday, investigators executed a search warrant at Lynn’s home and seized his computer. Deputies said a forensic exam of the hard drive revealed images and videos of child pornography that had been downloaded from the Internet. The investigation is ongoing.
Director of Schools, Rob Britt, said the administration of Blount County Schools received notification from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office on Monday about Lynn's arrest. He taught fourth grade at Prospect Elementary School and has resigned from his position.
