Knox County deed records available online

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Official Knox County deed records are now available online, according to the Knox County Register of Deeds' office.

The records, previously only available in person or by mail, are available in partnership with the Knoxville-Knox County Geographic Information Systems known as KGIS.

Register of Deeds Sherry Witt says, "We are excited about this new partnership with KGIS and the benefit it offers our citizens." She says, "These are important records that should be readily accessible for both property owners and the business community."
