KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville couple were robbed just as they were about to go into their apartment late Monday night, according to the Knoxville Police Dept. The three suspects are still on the loose.
One of the victims told police he and his roommate were heading inside shortly after 10:30 p.m. when a man came up to him and asked a question. The victim said he was trying to unlock his door as he talked to him.
That's when two more men came downstairs and the three of them pushed their way into the apartment. They forced the victims - at gunpoint - to lay on the ground.
They grabbed cash and cell phones before taking off.
The Violent Crimes unit of the Knoxville Police Dept. is continuing the investigation.
