KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The 16-year old special needs girl missing Monday afternoon from Farragut High School has been found safe.
The sheriff's office says Caitlyn Cawood was found in the back of the school. And that she had been hiding from school administrators and officers.
Caitlyn has been reunited with her father.
Local 8 News reporter Lorena Estrada is there and is working to gather more information.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding a missing teen.
Caitlyn Cawood, who has special needs, was last seen Monday afternoon at Farragut High School. Her father told us Caitlyn is 16-years old.
Deputies say Caitlyn missed her school bus, went into the principal's office and called her grandfather.
Her grandfather said he would have somebody come pick her up but then Caitlyn walked out of the office and has not been seen since.
The sheriff's office say Caitlyn looks like she's around 10-years old, weighs 90 lbs. and is 5-feet, 2-inches tall. She has brown hair.
She was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, grey jacket, and blue jeans and a white t-shirt.
Anyone with information on where Caitlyn may be is asked to call 911.
