Two stolen cars recovered from Blount County recycling center

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Blount County Sheriff's Office recovered two stolen cars after executing a search warrant Wednesday at Cables Recycling on East Broadway in Maryville.

The cars were stolen from Oak Ridge and Blount County.

The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation for not complying with scrap metal regulations.

No charges have been filed as part of Wednesday's search warrant, a spokesman for the sheriff's office says one person was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Officers say he also had prescription drugs on him.

The sheriff's office says the business is still open.
