KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knox County Sheriff's deputy was taken to UT Medical Center Tuesday after responding to a meth lab.
An investigation led officers to a home on Cash Road, off Asheville Highway around 4:00 p.m.
Deputies found meth being cooked as they went inside.
Two men and two women were in the home and are now in custody.
A spokesperson says the injured officer likely suffered a heat related injury from the air tight suits worn for protection.
Officers say they expect to be at the home until early Wednesday morning.
The lab is at a home on Cash Road in East Knox County.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says one officer was taken to U.T. Medical Center with unreleased injuries. That officer's condition has also not been released.
