CLINTON, Tenn. (AP) -- For the second time in as many years, the state is investigating the Anderson County trustee's office in Clinton.
The new TBI probe involves $4,500 in missing public funds.
Trustee Rodney Archer said the allegations involve a part-time worker who he hired in January during the tax season. He declined to identify her.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reported the employee left the trustee's office in May and was given a full-time job in the county clerk's office, but was fired from that post June 16.
Two years ago, Katie Davis -- a granddaughter of then-trustee Patsy Stair-Lomeli -- pleaded guilty to stealing more than $30,000 in public funds.
