Three injured in Gatlinburg explosion

GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Three people are injured after an explosion in Gatlinburg.

Marci Claude, the city's Public Relations Manager, says the explosion happened at Tree Tops Condos around 7:15 Saturday night.

Officials believe gas may have caused it.

One person was flown to U.T. Medical Center with severe burns and the other two were taken to nearby hospitals.

Fire officials say one condo has major damage and another has some damage.

The fire has since been contained, but those staying in the condos have been relocated.
