Charges filed against son, three others in connection with Greene Co. murder

GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Four teens, who were the focus of a two state manhunt, have now been charged in connection with the shooting death of a Greene County man.

Zachary Thomas Blanchard, the victim's son, has been charged with first degree murder.

he teen wanted in connection to the murder of his father in Greene County has been captured in South Carolina along with three other wanted suspects.

Zack Blanchard, 16, was wanted in connection with the shooting death of 36-year-old Robert J. Blanchard.

The Greene County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called out to a home Snapps Ferry Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday. And that is when deputies found Robert Blanchard's body with an apparent gunshot wound.

That led to manhunt before Zack Blanchard and three others were arrested in Newberry County, South Carolina.

Daniel Allen Richards Birchfield Jr. has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and one count of theft.

Liam Michael Lawlor has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and one count of theft.

Shelby Lynn Riley has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and one count of theft.
