Suspect on the run after firing shots in Union County

ANDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Union County Sheriff's deputies need help searching for a man who allegedly fired shots near a home Saturday. A neighbor near the intersection of Highway 61 West and Central View Road in Andersonville reported hearing gunshots around 9:30 last night.

It was reported that several more shots were fired upon the arrival of deputies. According to a news release, a call for back up was made to search for the suspect. Highway 61 West was shut down during the search for Edward “Bud” Wilson, who fled the scene.

Arrest warrants have been issued for two counts of aggravated assault. No one was injured during the incident.
