ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Anderson County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men accused of robbing a man and beating with a hammer and baseball bat.
Shawn Dillon Summers, 18, of Clinton, is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy.
Kavonte Jamar Carson, 19, also of Clinton, is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Burglary, and Criminal Conspiracy.
The victim, 19-year-old Kendrick Harshaw, of Knoxville told officers that he drove to a mobile home park on Joann Lane in Marlow shortly after midnight after exchanging messages both on the social networking site “meetme.com” and by cell phone texts with a person who identified herself as a girl.
After getting of his car, to search for the address, Harshaw was hit with a hammer, beaten with a baseball bat and took his cell phone and wallet. The address he was searching for does not exist.
Harshaw was treated at a Knoxville hospital for his injuries.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit located the two suspects who were living nearby in a mobile home.
After interviews both were charged in this incident after admitting the female profile on “meetme.com” was fake and their intent was to lure
the victim to the location to commit the robbery.
