KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Dozens of people have been indicted in a massive drug bust by Knox County officials.
In three different presentments to the Grand Jury, 26 different people were indicted, some involved in two or more of the cases. The charges vary from conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of cocaine with intent to sell and some gun charges.
In one case, 12 people were indicted on the conspiracy charges. Two of them were also charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana. In the second case, five people were named on the conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance charges. In the third, 14 people were indicted, some named specifically for possession with intent to deliver cocaine charges.
Only one name appears on all three presentments: Taurus Lemar Dunn. The documents say he received marijuana and another substance from some of the other defendants to distribute further, and that he transported more than 300 grams of cocaine in the county.
Knoxville Police say the investigation is ongoing and they cannot discuss any aspects of the operation at this time.
