MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) - Morristown police say a wreck over the weekend that sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries was partly caused by water balloons.
Officers responded to a crash with injury on West Andrew Johnson Highway around 6:00 a.m. Sunday.
They found a wreck involving a car, driven by Kyle Hartman, 21, and a motorcycle, driven by Michael Seals, 54.
Officers say Hartman was throwing water balloons at a friend's car, lost control, sideswiped a utility pole, spun around and hit Seals' motorcycle.
Seals was flown to U.T. Medical Center. We have called the hospital to check on Seals' condition but have been unable to get through to the nursing supervisor.
Hartman was cited for reckless driving.
