Powerball Jackpot Ticket worth $259.8 million sold in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Lottery has announced the winning Powerball Jackpot ticket was purchased in Knoxville, for the jackpot of $259.8 million.

The drawing was Wednesday night, but no information has been released until the lucky winner comes forward.

Here are the winning numbers: 14,18,25,33,49 and the Powerball was 23. Power Play: five.

The Tennessee Lottery advising the ticket-holder to sign the back of the ticket, keep it safe and consult with a financial or legal professional. Also, call the Nashville office before claiming the prize.

This is the largest winning mega-jackpot in the history of the Tennessee Lottery and the second mega-jackpot winner this year.

If the winner opts to take the lump-sum, $259.8 million, they would receive $153.5 million. The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.
