Tennessee restaurant employee killed at work

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say 40 customers at a Nashville restaurant watched as an employee who tried to intervene in a dispute was stabbed to death.

Police say Eris Bruno, 39, of Nashville, was killed Wednesday night at an O'Charley's restaurant.

David Kimball, 28, of Nashville, was arrested later and charged with murder.

Police say Kimball was trying to collect a drug debt from a restaurant employee when Bruno, off duty at the time, tried to defuse the confrontation.
