CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A woman has been arrested for allegedly shooting her estranged boyfriend.
The TBI says 31-year-old Louis Michael Tammaro was found dead around 4:45 a.m. Friday at 36-year-old Stephanie Cole's home on Ackla Drive.
Investigators say Tammaro had recently moved out after living with Cole for several years.
Cole is charged with one count of First Degree Murder. She is being held without bond in the Cumberland County Jail.
The TBI and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office are investigating an early Friday morning murder in the Lake Tansi community.
Investigators said it happened on Ackia Drive shortly before 5 AM, and said the call came in as a shooting. When they showed up, they found a 30-year-old man dead in the backyard. Deputies said they took a 36-year-old woman - who lives at the home - into custody immediately. They said the two were dating, and the murder appears to have been domestic-related.
"This is an isolated incident in a rural part of Cumberland County, a low-crime area. And I want the citizens to know that there's not a random - this is a random incident, an isolated incident. We feel like we have our suspect in custody," said Casey Cox, chief investigator for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies spent Friday afternoon processing the scene.
