LOUISVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Blount County Sheriff's Office has released the name of a man who died after being hit by a train in Louisville early Saturday morning.
Officials say that Benjamin Allen Drain, 32, of Louisville was pronounced dead at the scene, then taken to UT Medical Center for an autopsy.
Dispatch says that a call came in just after 2 AM from CSX Rail that one of their trains had hit a pedestrian near the railroad crossing on Pearly Smith Road.
Blount County Fire also responded to the scene and Blount County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.
