5-year-old boy flown to hospital after being hit by car in Morristown

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WVLT) - A young boy was flown to UT Medical Center after he was hit by a car in Morristown Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say a little before 5:00 p.m., the 5-year-old boy was trying to cross Andrew Johnson Highway with an adult.

They say he was then hit by an SUV.

The boy's name and condition have not been released.
