NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Nashville police said the 27-year-old sister of a slain Vanderbilt University professor has died from her wounds.
Police have charged four people for the shooting death of 32-year-old professor Pierre Colas, an anthropology professor from Hamburg, Germany, on Wednesday. His sister, Marie Colas, who was visiting, was critically wounded and died at the hospital on Sunday.
Police said they will upgrade the attempted murder charges. Nashville police said in a release Friday the suspects were 29-year-old George Cody, 35-year-old Gennyfer Hutcherson, 22-year-old Michael Holloway and 20-year-old Thomas Reed.
Authorities said the men were seen using his bank card to make several purchases after the attack at his Nashville home and they later found items belonging to the Colas' at one of the suspect's homes.
