Woman killed by train is identified

TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Tullahoma say a woman walking her dog was struck and killed by a train.

Authorities identified the victim as 36-year-old Leslie Renee Cole.

Tullahoma Police investigator Harry Conway told The Tullahoma News that Cole was walking her dog on the CSX railroad tracks about 1:40 a.m. Thursday when a northbound train approached her from behind.

Conway said it appeared Cole heard the train horn, but wasn't able to get off the tracks in time.

Her dog wasn't hurt.
