Body discovered in Memphis house fire

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The Memphis Police Homicide Bureau is investigating a fire where a man was found shot to death.

According to a news release, fire fighters responded to a duplex fire on Sunday and found a 56-year old man on a bedroom floor with a gunshot wound.

The original call was regarding a house fire at 279 Jacoby Avenue, but the fire search crew found the body inside 277 Jacoby Avenue.

Authorities are withholding the man's name, pending family notification.

No arrest has been made.
